I honestly kind of forgot that I had started a blog...so I am very excited to start sharing my ever day life with, well, probably with myself! A little background since my last post:
Garrett (husband) and I moved to Portland and lived in the basement apartment of these fabulously crazy people that have become like our new grandparents! We LOVED it in Oregon, but had to move back to AZ because we did not find jobs before we ran out of $$$.
Came back to Phoenix where we had jobs waiting for us. Moved back in with Chad, who so graciously let us have our old room with the "magic bed" and we lived happily every after for few months. Although we LOVE Chad, we decided that it was time to have our own place....we had been married for almost a year and had yet to live alone. We left Chad and moved into a 600 sq ft bungalow in downtown Phoenix, this little place had charm...but we should have kept looking and found something that was more affordable, a tad bigger and more energy efficient. We found out that we were pregnant shortly after moving in to the new place--Super glad that Garrett and I ALONE moved every last piece of furniture!
We celebrated our first anniversary by taking a trip to the mountains to camp, when we opened our front door we found that our little bungalow had been broken into and trashed while we were away. The feeling that you get when your home has been riffled through is tremendously disgusted. It was such a violation, more than the things they took, it was the things that they touched..being pregnant and emotional did not help, my poor husband! We stayed in the little bungalow a few more months and decided that it would be best for us to move back to my hometown to be closer to family and help, since we would be having not one, but two babies in just a few short months. There is a whole story about the process and the last few months of our pregnancy and the story of me, the overachiever that was not allowed to help move..another day!
Fast Forward: We have the most beautiful and perfect little babies! Trace Calvin and Ruby Mae born 5 weeks early, but exceptionally healthy and AMAZING!
