As Time goes by..

It is absolutely CRAZY that Trace and Ruby will be 1 1/2 tomorrow.... We see them every day, and we are used to them being toddlers and having huge personalities, but when we have a chance to look back (not that long ago) when they were babies, it is insane to think of how much they change every minute.  We try to look back at pictures and videos often, so that we don't forget that before Trace and Ruby could run, it was HUGE that they rolled over alone, or before Ruby learned how to shake her head and tell us "no" that she used to have the quietest little cry, or before Trace could smack Ruby in the face with a wooden spoon, he used to cuddle up next to her and sleep. It blows my mind that these two were ever so small. We all sat together a few mornings ago (too early to head downstairs for breakfast, thank you Trace and Ruby) and watched videos of the day that they were born, so tiny, even my hand seemed like a giant fixture next to them (well, my hands actually were a giant fixture because I had just been SUPER prego with twins for 8 months, but that is neither here nor there) they were both SO SMALL, so different. They were both in a gaze saying "baby" they didn't even recognize themselves! It is amazing! We wouldn't trade a single minute, not even to rewind and have some of those days back, it is amazing how fast children grow and I can only hope that we remember to keep looking back once in a while and that we continue to cherish every little moment, take lots of pictures... oh and take very deep breaths.
