Lately...

Lately, once in a while, we let Trace and Ruby watch a movie. Actually, it is usually Garrett that lets Trace and Ruby watch a movie....which is amazing because he is the one that was so against letting our kids watch TV. Don't get me wrong, they are not actually watching TV, they are watching the movie on our small laptop, and someday I am sure that we will hear all about how mean we are because we have not and probably will not have a TV. Damn Hippies. Despite our best efforts to be the meanest parents that never let our kids watch TV, they have been bending the rules lately. We will eventually move them to a farm in the middle of nowhere so they can grow up without cell phones, never have soda, bottled water, processed foods or even know what fast food is... but until that day they will be allowed to watch a movie once in a while at home or most likely watch Bubble Guppies on the giant TV at their Granny's.
BUT... AREN'T THEY SO SWEET LOOKING SO AMAZED AND IMPRESSED BY THE MINIONS??? And, I must admit that I LOVE THOSE FREAKING MINIONS as well! If you know Ruby, you also know that she IS just like that sweet little girl that sings about the unicorns and how much she loves them....the only difference is that Ruby has been singing "baby baby baby no". She really loves the "baby" part and sometimes there is at least four minutes of baby before she even gets to the "no" part. How does our 1 1/2 year old know and love Justin Bieber you ask?? That would be her Daddy as well. He plays Justin Bieber or the Black Eyed Peas or some other kind of semi inappropriate kid music and Ruby and Trace go crazy and dance, which is also pretty darn sweet. Lets just hope she doesn't start singing about her "lovely lady lumps" anytime soon! How could we let this happen? Well, here goes... Mom, you were right...parents do some crazy things, things that they say they will never do before they actually become parents, to make their kids happy. Thank you for making our lives amazing. And no matter how embarrassed we were when you put really loud "oldies" on in the car and started dancing, we actually LOVED it! XOXO

  1. Love your post, as usual! So funny about the Baby, Baby, Baby, No...around here we sing "Baby, baby, baby Hope!" LOL And, I must admit, I'd probably never get a shower if it wasn't for Bubble Guppies/Imagination Movers/Dora. :) I do try to limit them though to about 1/2 hour/day.
